Essexcare Trenching Limited Directional Drilling Team on a special project for the installation of a 110mm SDR11 water service under a stream in a rural location. Once the Drilling rig is in position and the area of the installation has been scanned by a CAT and all local drawings have been checked the installation can proceed. The drill head carries a sond for transmitting of radio signals to the Digitrak detection equipment for the location of the drill head for accurate depths and guidance.

Our location technician is able to steer the drill head under the stream to the desired depth of 1.2m below the surface of the stream bed.   As the drill head comes to the surface ready to ream out for the pipe installation our team navigate to the precise location of exit of head ready for the pull. The pipe was pulled back under the stream with no disruption. To the stream and the job was complete in just a couple of hours   Another successful installation, by the Essexcare Drilling Team.
