Kerb Cutting

Kerb Cutting Rocksaw.
Essexcare Trenching pioneered kerb removal, in the early 1990`s cutting out the existing kerb. Leaving the original kerb base intact. This procedure makes the removal of kerb efficient and cost effective.
The kerb cut is 300mm wide x 300mm in depth. The machine easily takes out the kerb in one pass. Cutting at an average of 1500lm per shift (12hrs). The existing kerb is ground into small pieces and left on the side of excavation. The machine has self-leveling facility, which allows the machine to work on uneven ground up to 300mm. Thus maintaining a vertical edge for reinstatement
Because of the machines very low ground pressure, no damage is caused to existing road surface. Also because the machine is track driven, accuracy is excellent. And no problems are encountered steering the unit. Leaving a perfectly straight edge ready for laying new kerb.

Our Kerb planing machine planing out existing Concrete Kerbs. The dimension of the trench is 300mm wide x 350mm in depth.
