FASTER, CLEANER, BETTER - THE TRENCHER ADVANTAGE

Trenchers are designed simultaneously to cut, excavate and manage excavated earth. Depending on the machine, they can be used for a variety of applications ranging from small-scale projects, such as shallow utility installation in soil, up to large applications like deep mainline installation through rock. The key benefits of trenching include faster, cleaner and more stable trenches, better grading, less labour, the ability to use excavated material as backfill and overall cost-effectiveness. Essexcare Trenching Limited has long been a leader in trencher technology and knows what it takes to keep trenchers profitable and efficient. We offer an unbeatable combination of trenchers, rocksaws, and service backed by over twenty years of experience.

Trenching vs. traditional methods

Excavators produce non-uniform trenches with uneven floors. Produced in lumps spoil is often unusable as backfill and trench production is slow. Backhoes exhibit similar limitations to excavators and require more time for trench production. Blasting is often prohibited and when it can be used, it creates uneven trenches that require extra labour in excavation, compaction and finishing. Additionally, spoil generated by blasting is often unsuitable as backfill.

A Wide Range

Different projects have different requirements, so E.T.L. offers a wide range of trenchers and rocksaws. These come with a variety of attachments and boom features to increase versatility. Large track trenchers are designed for deep large-scale installation projects and are specially designed to cut through hard and difficult ground conditions. They use a combination of high horsepower and weight, to achieve superior trenching performance and cut trench in most types of earth including dirt, clay, shale, caliche and most solid rock. Weight keeps the trencher stable and on course; horsepower creates the force needed to excavate the trench. Set-ups can be changed to increase or decrease trench width and/or depth.
